The past few weeks I have just been finishing up some school work, studying for a few exams and unable to get out for a weekend as everyone else was doing the same, and then I spent this last week of school ending classes. Everything seemed to go pretty well, but I have the next few weeks to finish some research papers, hopefully travel a bit before my last few exams, and then begin the New Zealand summer. This last weekend I was able to go paddling on the coast again for three days. I get on two new sections of river called the Upper & Lower Kakapotahi. It was a great tight canyon with many fun drops, but provided little opportunity to stop and take photos. We also boated another river that I’ve done before and ended up meeting a few new paddlers. So hopefully when I finish school I’ll be able to find people to go on kayaking trips with. And for now it’s just back to research.
